Ali Habib

Ali has been CEO of Interactive Health Solutions (IHS) since 2013 He is a strong proponent of open source software and ICT4D, he has led the assessment, design development, and deployment of open source mobile data collection, and web-based electronic medical record systems for TB control projects and programs in Pakistan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, DRC, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Malawi, Brazil, and Peru. Ali works closely with open source communities like OpenMRS and OpenSRP to help use technology to address gaps in health delivery in resource limited settings. Ali has been part of the technology leadership teams for the Zero TB Karachi Initiative; endTB, a USD 60 million UNITAID grant to introduce new TB drugs for patients with XDR-TB and complicated MDR-TB, and OpenSRP, an open source initiative to empower front line health workers using mobile technology.
